Born in Seattle and raised in the Southside of Chicago, Darryl King Jr. AKA The Natural Truth, grew up embracing the knowledge derived from the struggles of young revolutionaries before him. Faced with the untimely passing away of his father, T.N.T. moved to the Westside of Seattle with his family and began expressing himself through Hip Hop music at the young age of four. Over the years, he rapidly sharpened his skills and developed not only his lyrical talent, but his social awareness. Consistently hard hitting punch-lines, meaningful content and a smooth natural delivery quickly earned him a reputable title "The Natural Truth".

In December of 2005, The Natural Truth revealed proof of his talent when he became the first lyrical artist from Seattle to receive the "Unsigned Hype" title in The Source magazine. The Natural Truth released his debut album, Truth Be Told in 2006, saturating both the streets and the mixtape scene.

With success comes failure and life tends to get in the way at times. The Natural Truth wants to make music, as Darryl King Jr. takes care of personal life obstacles. 2006 through 2009 was a time of building and family for King. Now, riding the renowned success of the Seattle Seahawk Anthem "Blue & Green" The Natural Truth is moving forward. The 2011 mixtape "A Poet's Progress: Chapter 1" is a culmination of time, passion, pain and reality. You hear national records remixed with a sound that has you forgetting what the original sounded like. Also laying ground work for an EP (Spring/Summer 2011), there are also original songs that ring true to experiences felt in the years without music.

With everyday you look to progress and that's what The Natural Truth is doing. One day at a time, one song at a time, one experience at a time.
